Thanksgiving Sunday!

(More pictures below.)
We had a wonderful "Thanksgiving Sunday" at the church yesterday!

There was a really good spirit in the services and we had a dinner after church.
I brought my camera but got sidetracked and forgot to take pictures! Bummer!
Sis. Les did an awesome job decorating the tables. She had fall orange table cloths and vases with trendy fall flowers and ribbons on the table! It was so festive and happy looking!

The food! let me tell you, we had so much food! It was great. No one should of went hungry. All kinds of casseroles and desserts.
The church supplied the turkeys and ham. (I bought too many, but next time I'll know.)
Sisters Lynn, Raines, and Lowery cooked the turkeys and I was so thankful. They did an excellent job.
Sis. Lynn was in charge of the kitchen. She always does such a great job! As did all her helpers!
Les always has my back and she will never know how much that means to me!
The ladies at Antioch are good to me.
Vic, however is another story all together. She announces that the ham tastes sudsy! It didn't taste right, who made it.
Well, I MADE THE HAM!
Mean thing. She had me going. Finally I said, "Well they liked it at Portland!"
The table busted out laughing. Vic was pulling my chain!
Lisa and Lori were so very sweet to bring a sugar free cake and gave me half to take home!!!!!
Chelsei, my self-appointed mom and doctor LOL!, made sure I didn't go into a diabetic coma from all the chocolate and sweets. I love it!
It was a good dinner.
Not bad considering that my pastor only told me last Sunday that as church hostess he wanted me to plan a Thanksgiving Dinner this Sunday!!!!!
I learned a lot and got some wonderful advise that I will use next time!!!!!!

Sunday Night service was Fantastic. Bro. Hall was suppose to preach but the Lord began ministering to needs in our church and people were blessed. It blessed me to see others get so blessed. We need each other. We need to stand in the gap and be courageous and valiant in the Lord.
Sister Emily sang, "Pray On!" I love Sis. Emily. She had such a sincere testimony and request.
Bro. Josh played his saxophone. We are really blessed with young people who desire to please the Lord.
After church we were invited to go to Taco Bell! I haven't been to Taco Bell in a long time and it was good! I'll be exercising 2x a day after all the food.
I had a first .... Are you ready for this ????
Two of our VLB's asked me to arm wrestle them! LOL! I did pretty good even with Gracee trying to distract me!
I laughed most the night. Morgan taught me how to bust a few moves and Chelsei tried to teach me how to talk British. LOL!
Crystal taught me what not to say in New York!Ha!
We had a long drive home and then I crashed!
God is good!

Saved the best for last! LOL!

I'm So Excited, I Just Can't Hide It

First of all I went to Curves today to be tested to start the new Curves Smart Machines. That thing makes you work! I wanted to throw up!! I had to go three rounds and these lights tell you if you're working hard enough!
Hey! I am just glad I get out of bed every morning and then I have this smarty little box telling me to pump up my exercise more! AGHHHHHHHH!
Well I had to get weighed and measured. You know all this, "I'm stuck " talk. Well it turns out that I am not stuck, my scale is!!!!! I have actually been loosing weight. I lost 8 lbs since Bethel.
That's a big deal to me!!!! Yeah God!
Then to my surprise I found out that I was over an inch taller than before. They said that maybe as I lost weight my posture got better. Bobby says he can tell a difference.
Bobby, my dear sweet Bobby. Here is the exciting part.

Going back almost 15 years ago :
It was always my dream for my groom to carry me through the door on our Honeymoon. Well when we got married Bobby was a toothpick and although I wasn't heavey, he could not pick me up. Bummer.
He has never been able to pick me up because when he got bigger SO DID I!!

Back to the present:
Today when I got home, we checked our scales and they were messed up! YEAH!!! I was so excited that I just laid a big ole' kiss on him. He got so excited that he scooped me up. I died laughing. I told him, that I've waited all my life to be swept off my feet!LOL!
Poor man! He has had to pick me up off and on all day just for me to know that it was still possible.
He even had to take me outside and carry me through the front door! We laughed and laughed. I cried. it was a big deal to me and it meant so much more that it was a big deal to Bobby.
He is my Prince Charming!!!!

Post of the post of the post!

Well you opened it so who is stranger me or you! LOL!

Better Now!
I feel so much better! You know the husband that complains because I don't update, well he complained because of my last post!LOL!It's my blog, don't like it, DON'T READ IT BIG BOY! :PYesterday morning I went to Curves in Gallatin to work out. It is about 30 minutes from where we live. It was great. I meet several new ladies and we laughed and laughed. I love to laugh. All crying gets you is a snotty nose and a headache! After I worked out, I went to Wally World.I was craving apples and carrots. (You just have to be me.)They had shirts on sale for $1. The sign just threw itself at me! So I followed its gaze to the shirts. I kept telling this lady how incredible it was that they were just $1. I guess maybe I was over the top because some people were looking at me strangely. (Use to it!:0))She was helping me look. Then she started telling about herself and I about me. Come to find out, she too, has lost weight. Then I found out that she lived in Portland,(I live in Portland.) Her husband pastor's a church in Nashville.(My husband pastors a church in Nashville.) She asked me if I would like to start walking with her in the mornings. (I have been whining because it is not safe to walk alone where I live and I can't get what's his name to walk with me.)I was elated!!! Can't wait to get know this lady!I love meeting people at Wal-mart!This is funny and I am sorry if it offends some, but don't read it if it does. The other day I was looking for some underwear. I like a certain kind I had gotten before. Did you know that they moved the "panty" aisle to the middle walkway of the store??? Of all the dumb things. I mean everyone can see you pick your "drawers" out. I am a pastor's wife, I do not want members to know what kind of bloomers I wear! Or even thinking about it! They don't even need to know that I wear drawers! Now a days they have some interesting bloomers out there! It is humiliating.Well while I was looking this unique lady came up and started asking me about different panties. OK, it was clear that we had different tastes. We where laughing and just acting stupid, then this older lady came up and she had us busting! Come to find out she wears the kind I use to wear, but she couldn't find them, so I helped her locate them. Then the "unique" lady decided that she would try something different and wanted my opinion. Then another lady came up and she was just in a world all her own! I became the underwear consultant. LOL! ( Hey I watch Opra!)We had a traffic jam and people where actually avoiding that aisle!:) It was like a TV show. Sadly I still couldn't find what I was looking for, so when Bobby came I asked him to help me, but Bobby hates the "Underwear" Aisle. (This I know and use it to my advantage often.)He really wanted to leave, so we worked out a deal.I had saw some pretty ones that I liked at JCPenny's, so he said if I would just let him out of the underwear aisle in Walmart, he'd pay extra for the JcPenney ones.I was mean. When we went to JCPenney, guess what door I brought him through .... then I started asking him which ones he liked, he was gone and I got what I wanted without being hassled about money!LOL!He liked my choices ... Well I told you not to read it!Have a great day! Mine will be until "What's His Name" reads this post!Disclaimer: Do not call, write, email or otherwise contact me about the inappropriateness about my post. This will be my response. "CHILL! At least I didn't post pictures!" :0)

Class

I was late again! I went to work out before class and there was a new lady working so she was asking me all these questions, and I didn't want to be rude.

I was only a little late this time. Someone got my seat so I had to sit in another place. Woe as me!!

It was a fun class and I laughed til I had to ... well never mind.

It was on early adulthood. I found out that I am still in early adulthood! Wow!

We talked a lot about LOVE. This girl just didn't understand why her husband gets up and leaves when she trys to tell him about her day. Listen ,,, she is all the time telling us about her week in class and I want to get up and leave 5 seconds into it. I can imagine if you had to hear 24 hours a day! :0)

I could write a book on her life! TOO MUCH INFO PEOPLE!

The instructor asked us to raise our hands if we were 40 or over. If you are 20- 40 you are considered in early adulthood. Well I am 38 so I didn't raise my hand. Honestly I thought that I was the oldest in the class, but guess what .... there are 3 people older than me, but not by much.
Anyway the instructor kept looking at me and saying remember 40 and over. I bet she's thinking I was lying about my age. Now why would I lie about my age? I am proud of my age. I have heard that your 40s could be the best times of your life.

Funny thing that happened:
This really cool acting guy that is nice, but he always acts so intelligent and GQ, passed gas. I was sitting by him and he turned to me face all red and said,"Excuse me!" It was just so funny how he said it and I was trying so hard not to laugh, but I did. I mean we all have to do it from time to time. What's the big deal? It didn't even smell!LOL!

Then some were asked what made them the happiest in the last seven days. I thought really hard. Hmm... was it picking my husband up from the airport after being gone for almost a week ...naw ... was it the beautiful Alaskan angel that Bobby bought for me in Alaska ,,, nada ... was it cuddling with Bobby and watching "The Christmas Shoes" ... I don't think so ... Bet you can't guess what made me the happiest in the last 7 days ....
Drum Roll ......
It was spending all of Bobby's quarters and he being 4000 miles away and all he could do was read about it!

To my Bobby.

Gleaners

Gleaners is a service that we have for our children on Wednesday Nights. We memorize scripture, read stories, crafts, snack , just fun stuff!
Bro. Sutton has asked me to direct it. I have missed the kids in Bethel so much that I was really excited to do this!
I planned and prayed and was so eager to get started. Well, Wednesday was my first night.
I quickly learned that I was gonna have to wing it!
My Turkey craft fell apart. We were making turkeys out cookies, frosting, whoopers, peanutbutter cups, and candy corn.
The cookies crumbled, the whoopers and PB's wouldn't stick and well, we just ate them!
The kids liked that better anyway!!!
They were more excited over who got the empty Caprisun box than anything! LOL!
Oh well, I have had 32 years experience working with kids and nothing much surprises me! LOL!
Next week will be different! :0)

Stinking Keys!

Ask me how play practice went .... go ahead ... ask me!
Well since you asked ... I don't know ... because I DIDN'T GET TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was all ready and heading out the door, but couldn't find my keys. I always put them in one of two places ... my purse or on a holder by the door.
Nada, no where. I searched and searched. Even looked in my purse several times.
Bobby was visiting the hospital in Nashville and he couldn't get home in time to let me use his keys, so very humbly I had to call Sis. Amy to let her know that I wouldn't be there.
I was bummed!
When Bobby got home I decided I would go get groceries because, well, we like to eat.
I went to take my ipod out of my purse and it jingled! Wrapped up in my ipod armband was my KEYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In my purse the whole time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I tried to think of anyway I could blame it on Bobby, but I can't figure out a way! (Although I am still trying!)

Getting In Character!

I am so excited about tonight. Play practice! Yeah!
I get to be grumpy and sarcastic ,,, Bobby says that I get to play... me ... hmmm!
We ,, yes I said we,, went to workout this morning (At the gym not Curves. LOL!). It was fun, except when I workout with Bobby he wants to go eat afterwards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This time I was the weak one and got a piece of pecan pie. We were going to half it but it ended up being one of those little tiny round pies in a wrapper. Bobby took one look and said, "It's yours."
I kept saying that I was not going to eat the whole thing no matter how tiny it was, but I did, well almost all of it.
My sugar was low today so I could afford to for my diabetes sake, but I am stuck at needing to loose 20lbs..
I am working out as much as I can and have really tried with my eating, I am just stuck.
I did read that you have to jump start your metabolism every once in a while. So I didn't feel too guilty about the pie.
You want to hear something funny ?????
Some have said I write too much about my weight and it concerns them. Well if I am strange for writing about it, wouldn't it be even stranger for them to spend time reading about it!LOL!
I just have a goal and I want to keep it before me so that I can accomplish it.

Want to hear my ultimate goal???
I, Carol Annette Sutton, want to run in the Music City 1/2 Marathon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have always wanted to do a marathon since we lived in Mississippi. I volunteered in one there but was not able to participate. To me it would be a way of saying "Look what God has done!"
He's healed my body!

Alaska taught me to squeeze all that I could out of life! I want to have all that God has for me! How about you?

Someone once said that they were surprised that I would do the library in a sports theme because they didn't see me as a sports person. I wanted to say, "Jerk, I used to play softball and coached high school volleyball." (OK, I broke my ankle in 3 places sliding into 2nd base ending my softball career and who cares that I really didn't know anything about volleyball but my principal at the time got me a book, I read it and we went to state. I was young, stupid and wished I could do somethings over, but at least I did it!) I like sports. Fat people can be very active thank you!
I do use jerk with a smile because I have a lot of respect for the person who said this, I just wanted to snock the smirk off his face! (No AD, it wasn't you! HA!)
"Oooh! I 'm telling. Sis. Net wanted to snock someone." Got news for ya, Sis. Net wants to "snock" someone about every five minutes, but I don't. LOL!

I wonder if I am having one of those midlife crisis things. The more I try to be pleasant and sweet the worse I get! I say all this with a great sense of humor. I know that it is hard to tell but I laugh over all this stuff.
When I get upset with someone and want to "snock 'em" I just imagine the shock in their eyes if mild matter me actually just snocked the living snot of them and I get so tickled thinking about it that I am not upset anymore. Jesus would not be pleased if I harmed someone whether by words or hands and neither would Bobby. So I am being good. :0P

Oh, Bobby didn't get mad over the quarters. He thought it was cute. I did leave him some quarters.
If he adds a couple of pennies from our penny jar, he could buy a coke!

Love ya Honey!

On A Lighter Note! :0)

My Bobby is home and life is good!!!
I get to play a grumpy old woman in our church's Christmas Play! I can't wait! Practice is tomorrow night. I was so excited until Bro. Sutton reminded me that I have to memorize my lines! Husbands are so encouraging!:0)
We vote tomorrow. Please prayerfully consider your vote.
Bro. Sutton and I are voting for John McCain and Sarah Palin. As a Christian I can not vote for anyone who supports abortion. I will not stand before God and say that I voted to kill babies.
My opinion and my blog, like it or leave it.
That is not the only reason, but the main. Palin was our Governor and we liked her very much. Bro. Sutton was Assistant Finance Director for the City of Bethel and worked some with her office. He found them to be very proficient and respectful. America under Obama is going to be a scary place for Christians. We need to have discernment and be "wise as a serpent" and "harmless as a dove".
Help make a difference and VOTE!
