Hey Honey!

Ballad of Netty's Big Red Purse ...

Remember all those quarters you were saving and couldn't quite figure out what to use them for ...
Well I helped you out.

Meet my new red Liz Claiborn purse. Don't worry it was on sale and I had a $10 off coupon and all of your wonderful, shiny quarters!

Don' you think we look good together!!!
It even matches the couch. (Glad something finally does!:0)
Love you bunches! Hurry home ...

I am running out of quarters! :P

See ya tomorrow! (Hope I'm not late picking you up at the airport. JcPenney is having a door buster sale and well, there's still more quarters left.)

Love,

Your Bowl of Sunshine

Netty

PS. Oh and I also saved my gas money that you gave me for a new pair of pants. I drove your truck instead of my van. You might want to fill up before you go to far.:0)

Also I used up all the free food monopoly coupons you had, to save the food money you gave me for a few things I needed (a belt, a couple of shirts). I figured if I did that, ate peanut butter sandwiches and used your quarters, I'd have enough money for that door buster sale. Just trying to save you some money honey! I just love you!

PSS. To all women out there. If your husband went to Alaska for a week knowing how much you loved it and didn't take you with him ,,, wouldn't it sound reasonable, that to ease your sorrows, you'd go shopping with his QUARTERS?

WOW!

I had an awesome day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I finally finished my take home test.
For once I didn't get sick when I took my shots today! Woohoo!
Had lunch with Sis. Amy, Perry, and Abbey. It was fun!!
I went to the mall, got lost going to school and was 40 minutes late for class.
Everyone stared at me when I came through the door.
When I get nervous I laugh or smile. Dummy me start laughing as I was walking through the door. I was so embarrassed, but I had to turn in my assignments or I would have just skipped.
I sit in the very back of the class and had to walk through the classroom to sit down and then my book fell. UGHHHHHH!
Then I realized what the instructor was teaching. Puberty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be if I didn't do it again! Yep I started laughing. I am sure they thought I was on something. I just saw the humor in my situation. Here I am 38 and feeling the same akwardness as I did when I began puberty!
We got out of class 30 minutes later and I bolted!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then to Walmart! (No I won't go there tonight.:P)
I was getting a red sweater. I got a black belt and a pack of sour icebreakers.
I am home now and just finished chunking the nastiest tasting lean cuisine dinner I have ever tasted! It was on sell and I know why!
I am still laughing with no one to hear me!LOL!
Well tomorrow's another day!!!

Guess What Honey ???

I went JCPENNEY again and you're 4000 miles away and can't do a thang about it! :P

Better Now!

I feel so much better! You know the husband that complains because I don't update, well he complained because of my last post!LOL!
It's my blog, don't like it, DON'T READ IT BIG BOY! :P

Yesterday morning I went to Curves in Gallatin to work out. It is about 30 minutes from where we live. It was great. I meet several new ladies and we laughed and laughed. I love to laugh. All crying gets you is a snotty nose and a headache!
After I worked out, I went to Wally World.
I was craving apples and carrots. (You just have to be me.)
They had shirts on sale for $1. The sign just threw itself at me! So I followed its gaze to the shirts. I kept telling this lady how incredible it was that they were just $1. I guess maybe I was over the top because some people were looking at me strangely. (Use to it!:0))
She was helping me look. Then she started telling about herself and I about me. Come to find out, she too, has lost weight. Then I found out that she lived in Portland,(I live in Portland.) Her husband pastor's a church in Nashville.(My husband pastors a church in Nashville.) She asked me if I would like to start walking with her in the mornings. (I have been whining because it is not safe to walk alone where I live and I can't get what's his name to walk with me.)
I was elated!!! Can't wait to get know this lady!
I love meeting people at Wal-mart!
This is funny and I am sorry if it offends some, but don't read it if it does.
The other day I was looking for some underwear. I like a certain kind I had gotten before. Did you know that they moved the "panty" aisle to the middle walkway of the store??? Of all the dumb things. I mean everyone can see you pick your "drawers" out. I am a pastor's wife, I do not want members to know what kind of bloomers I wear! Or even thinking about it! They don't even need to know that I wear drawers!
Now a days they have some interesting bloomers out there! It is humiliating.
Well while I was looking this unique lady came up and started asking me about different panties. OK, it was clear that we had different tastes. We where laughing and just acting stupid, then this older lady came up and she had us busting! Come to find out she wears the kind I use to wear, but she couldn't find them, so I helped her locate them. Then the "unique" lady decided that she would try something different and wanted my opinion. Then another lady came up and she was just in a world all her own! I became the underwear consultant. LOL! ( Hey I watch Opra!)
We had a traffic jam and people where actually avoiding that aisle!:) It was like a TV show. Sadly I still couldn't find what I was looking for, so when Bobby came I asked him to help me, but Bobby hates the "Underwear" Aisle. (This I know and use it to my advantage often.)
He really wanted to leave, so we worked out a deal.I had saw some pretty ones that I liked at JCPenny's, so he said if I would just let him out of the underwear aisle in Walmart, he'd pay extra for the JcPenney ones.
I was mean. When we went to JCPenney, guess what door I brought him through .... then I started asking him which ones he liked, he was gone and I got what I wanted without being hassled about money!LOL!

He liked my choices ... Well I told you not to read it!
Have a great day! Mine will be until "What's His Name" reads this post!

Disclaimer: Do not call, write, email or otherwise contact me about the inappropriateness about my post. This will be my response. "CHILL! At least I didn't post pictures!" :0)

Blagh!

I feel like upchucking my toenails. Just thought I'd blog about.
You know keeping things updated for the old husband. :P

My Weekend (Yeah, I know, very Original!)

Friday
Spent with my Bobby. He had oral surgery. Bless his heart he was in & out of different dentists all week! I was so hoping the anesthesia would conk him out for a couple of hours so I could get some things done. Are you kidding??? He was HYPER! No rest for the weary!LOL!
I dearly love him!

Saturday
Bobby woke up at 3 am and ... get this ... when I woke up at ... well that's not important ... He had cleaned house, washed, folded and put away clothes, worked on some office stuff and woke me up with a sweet, gentle kiss. Now that is something to blog about!!! The house cleaning was good too! :0)
He knew how much I wanted to go work out so he made it where I could! So he took me to work out and he went to Walmart! After working out we went to Nashville to get some things for church.
Then we went to the church and worked on a few things. I really enjoyed it, I felt more a part.
After that we needed to fill in some time until Micheal's birthday party. His 18th. Bobby and I enjoy so much being around the young people. It is weird because we've known many of them since they were little. Micheal is our God Son, Noah's brother. We are very close to their family. Their mom, Yvonne did something very, very special for me one time that I will never, ever forget.
Anyway back to the story ... we went to JCPENNEY'S because well, since I've lost weight I had absolutely no clothes that I could decently wear. Best & worst problem I could have. Even the new skirts I bought when we first got back are falling on my waist now. I need to loose 20 more lbs and then maintain.
Back to the story again ... (Hey, it is my blog!) I got a new skirt and a pair of black dress boots. They were on sale! I haven't been able to wear dress boots in years. They aren't fancy, but I like them. Oh and I got a dress suit for $69! I am telling you I had to start completely over in clothes.
Now I am out of moo la. Bobby says it is time for job, but I am going to see about selling some of my new clothes that are too big on Craig's list.
Bobby had to get a new PC backpack, thus the reason I got boots! Ha!
After that we went to Micheal's party. It was fun. I enjoyed spending time with everyone. Sometimes you think some one is one way and then you really get to know them and find out that they have many different sides to them. I like that!

Sunday
I actually got car sick! I never get car sick! Ever! I think it was because I took my shot earlier than usual and then waited about eating. Then jumped in the van while Bobby drove!
Interesting ride!!!
Church was really good. Bobby preached on Grace, Mercy and Truth. It was different than I thought it would be. He brought out that because of God's Grace and Mercy he is going to show us the truth and it is up to us to follow it. (OK, that's what I got out of it.)
Sister Tammy, your song spoke to my heart. It was about trusting God. I wished I had a tape of it. It blessed my heart.
We went out to eat with the VLB's and few more. HA!!!
Cinda shot a spit wad in my honey mustard sauce and I shot one back,, (well OK 2) before Brother Sutton reminded me we were in a public place and I was the pastor's wife. Hmm... such responsibility.
Here is a secret about me. I love to laugh and have fun, I am just afraid I will take it too far so I hold back!
We all went to Ruby Tuesdays. I had never been before, it was good. Except I ordered Pomegranate tea. The tea was good but it arrived in a fluted glass. It was like all the young people stopped and looked at me. I so embarrassed. So they poured it in a regular glass for me. Wow!
We had to hurry because Bobby had to catch a plane to ALASKA! Again!
God blessed us. I am a diabetic and even though the weight loss has lowered my sugar, the disease has already caused harm to my organs so I take shots 2x a day plus oral medicine. When we left Alaska our income got cut in half and we are loosing our insurance at the end of this month. My medicine is over $300 a month. I know God can heal me, but until he chooses I will be on this medication (Not open for debate.) Anyway we had been praying about what to do. Bobby's former boss who has moved to King Salmon and asked him to come help with some audit prep. They are paying his way and giving him good pay. Enough that will help us get closer to getting on our feet since our very expensive move and the possibility of another move soon. Thank you Lord!
After I dropped Bobby of at the airport, I went back to the church and goofed off! It was relaxing.
Bro. Andy preached and there was a sweet spirit present. One of the deacons locked up for me so that I could go on home. I took the interstate. I hate the interstate, but its getting better! Two years of sharing a vehicle and driving in a town 6 miles around, has caused me to loose some of my independence. Slowly I am getting it back! :0)
When I got home, I read some and then went to sleep!
That's it! That's my weekend!
Can you tell I have a zillion things to do and just don't want to do any of them????
Oh, I mowed the yard today! (Monday)

Geez ... Bobby!

He said my blog was out of date and that he doesn't go to blogs that don't update at least every two days. Harsh I tell you, just plain harsh.

So guess what baby??? This post is about YOU!!!!!

Ode to my Bobby
You have the most awesome brown eyes with a sparkle of gold,
You are with whom I want to grow old.
I love to look at your hands, even when they're a mess,
they have character and in them I see gentleness.
I am most drawn to you when you least know it,
because you are meek yet a tower of strength and in your arms I fit.
Bet right about now you'd wish I hadn't of updated,
and I suppose now, you won't care if my blog is belated!
So here is to you my only true love, handsome and strong,
in your arms I will forever belong!
How's about them apples, Bobby Sutton?
I am just rotten ain't I? :p
Love,
Your Bowl of Sunshine

Vacationing in Bethel

Bobby went to Bethel to finish up his city work so I tagged along. I wanted to stay a little longer, so he said I could if I found the money. I subbed at the school during the day and worked at Curves during the night. Then I kept my friend's kids while she and her husband where out of town and I bummed beds and showers from other friends! (I sure showed him!LOL!) I had a blast!!!!

It was so nice to be back and it was very hard to leave.

The kids at school where awesome. I even subbed for Yupik once!

One day I was subbing for a kindergarten class. I told them that I was not their Cinderella and that they needed to pick up after themselves. This cute little girl pipes up, "But Mrs. Net, you look like Cinderella." Yep, she was teacher's pet the rest of the day! :0)

I loved subbing for PE! The teacher had really fun things for them to do!! We rocked!

Guess what??? It snowed while I was there! Yahoo!

Working at Curves was the best! I enjoyed working out with the ladies and making displays. Suzs is the greatest!!!

My friend insisted that I use her car the whole time I was in Bethel. I loved her car. I have the best of friends. My last night we had a "girls" party. It was so much fun! Thanks Sadie!!!

The next day my friend drove me to the airport and sat with me until time to board. I was very grateful.

I flew Saturday and Sunday. I headed straight to a member's house to shower from the airport and then got lost trying to get back to church in time for a baby shower, but I made it.

The people were great. I truly love being at Anitoch. They are loving and kind. Very balanced. They told me how much they missed me and how glad they were that I was back! You know, that makes a difference to a Pastor's wife.

I have been very blessed! Tammy, God is good!!!!

(Someday I'll tell of two miracles that God did for me in Bethel, but for now I'll wait.)

This is when I was watching my friend's kids. We made over a hundred cookies. It was so much fun!
Wow! What a ride!

What a Birthday!!!

I had an awesome birthday. Actually it is going to be a whole week of it. I feel spoiled and loved.

I'll start with tonight.

We had dinner with my in-laws. It was very nice and we even saw some friends that we haven't seen in a while.

Afterwards, my now driving nephew met us at Dairy Queen for dessert.

Bobby and my nephew, Stetson, got me an icecream cake from the DQ.

I was shocked and so happy to spend time with my nephew.

Quick, someone call the fire department!

Guess what happens when you put 38 "trick" candles on an icecream cake????

It melts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Earlier in the day we went to my grandmother's grave. She passed away while we were in Bethel and we didn't have the money for me to fly home for the funeral. So this was the first time I have been to her grave.

.She was buried by her first husband, my grandfather, Henry Engle. Yes, he was a minister.

Monday night my family had a party for my cousin's husband, John and me. This is my new great uncle with Bobby. He is a very sweet man. (Both)

These are my twin double first cousins, Trina & Gina, and Trina's daughter, Jessica. Aren't they beautiful!

This is my grandmother and her sister, Aunt Iller. Aunt Iller just recently got married!! Go girl!

I had phone calls and emails and just felt very muched loved. Thanks to all who made this a special day. We are leaving Alabama tomorrow and then on Friday Bobby has a very special evening planned for me. He also greeted me at the airport with a certificate for a deluxe manicure and pedicure. I can't wait.

Thirty-eight has been GREAT!!!
